on the 7th day of Christmas...................................

I really shouldn't be back blogging. I've got so much of nothing to say. I'll keep you posted for the winter storm that's supposedly coming our way. It's time for bed and I'll try to read...which usually ends up being two pages a night. No wonder it's taking me in forever to finish a book. And that's my Christmas cheer for the day.

Why oh why?!!!

Ok just got back in from taking the mutts on a walk. Some observations; why is it people leave their barking miserable freezing dogs outside?!!! why? why? why? why is it that people leave rotting pumpkins sitting on the porch right next to their Christmas decorations?!!! why? why? why? And there you have it, my Christmas cheer for the day.

soft and snuggly saturday

I have had a day of peace and quiet. I finished my Christmas cards. I walked the dogs even with it being bone chilling cold. I watched re-runs on HG TV. And I woke up snoring a couple of times. Now that's a Saturday to write home about! I've found a unique artist. He's got some really inspiring work. (The Last Supper is my favorite) Check him out when you get a minute or two.

My love hate relationship...

I could be talking about many different things here that would fit nicely in the title. My dogs perhaps? Of course I'm talking about the media...again. Now don't get me wrong. I'm a talk radio/news/cyber junkie. It's probably my own damn fault. But, but, and but, I don't think I'd like to see or hear one more tiny thing about the White House "crashers" or Tiger Woods and his little "accident". Not sure when that thought came to me, probably after the first hour of reporting. Ok enough of that. Yea riiight. Also, the dissecting of the President's speech last night. Holy-cow. Here we go. I don't think I'd like to hear one more thing about that. Starting about 60 minutes after he gave it. Ok enough of that. Yea riiiight. The media is seriously like a whining toddler. The kind you can almost ignore but nooooot reeeeaaaallly... And that's my Christmas cheer for the day.

You'd think that my re-appearance on Led Beside Still Waters would mean that I'm on top of the world er floating down the endless river happy as a lark.

So, what to write in this years Christmas card?

I can't quite describe 2009 without it being R rated.

And when I think of it, I don't think our family and friends would appreciate such atrocity.

Most of the time no one asks anyway...so why would I force such unpleasantries?!

I just chugged some bitter cold coffee in order for the piping hot coffee to not turn luke warm.

Which is just what I am today.

Christmas stuff and more

What if I were to tell you that I was completely done with my Christmas shopping? That would be crazy. I'm so not done. About 50%-75% done. Somewhere in there... That percentage causes me great satisfaction. I'm done with my Christmas decorating...I drug only 25% of our decorations out this year. I just didn't have the energy to get all that crap out. I did get the token things out. The things that just wouldn't say Christmas if they were still trapped in a dark and dusty basement. The Nativity (a must), the stockings and a few other unmentionables. Cute things... So there you have it; another Christmas on its way. At work I entered the secret Santa thing. I drew 4 names before I got the person I wanted. Is that cheating? I'm gonna start out small in the gift giving department for my pal. Tomorrow (the kickoff day) I got her the Holiday Special Edition M & M's. Yea, small yet yummy. The next day I'll give her a puppy. Well, House is on. I must go. It's good to see you again. Love and hugs and mistletoe kisses with peppermint bark!
